Digital Earth – Virtual Nations – Data Cities is a d_city publication available freely as an e-book or can be purchased hard copy. Editors Davina Jackson and Richard Simpson have put together  an astonishing resource which covers a wide expanse of topics on how data can be visualised and modelled to inform  problems spanning the natural systems to the built environment and cities. Our working group co-chair Dy Andy Hudson-Smith features on p 22. I would recommend this online resource to anyone interested in visualisation, virtual reality and how digital data is or can be used  to deal with both small and large scale problems facing society and our planet.
