I know this is old news to some of you as it has been widely circulated in various social media outlets, but especially those who are interested in virtual reality will find this potentially very interesting: Tracking the fingers in such precision offers very interesting possibilities in a virtual environment indeed. As some of you already (probably) know, we have a pre-congress workshop prior to ISPRS congress in Melbourne on geovisual analytics on August 24th. One of the members of our working group Gustavo Arciniegas and his colleagues have published another interesting research paper on the application of real-time interactive mapping  device (touch-table) for supporting collaborative planning in developing renewal offshore energy off the coast of Scottland.
