Pedestrian monitoring system data visualisation

Melbourne City Council have implemented a 24-hour pedestrian monitoring system (24PM)  which measures pedestrian activity in the central city and Docklands precincts each day.  The system, comprises 18 sensors and counts pedestrian movements to give the City of Melbourne a better understanding of how people use these precincts to support place based management and  the  plan for future needs. The online visualisation tool (http://www.pedestrian.melbourne.vic.gov.au/) created by OOM Creative, is an interactive map of these sensor locations, which enables users to see pedestrian counts on…
